We ordered our WiFi extender from Amazon using our Amazon Prime membership for FREE shipping.  The extender is very small.  It comes in a recyclable brown box as seen below.

The content of the box are simple. It includes a quick start guide and the WiFI extender.  No power chords or adapters, because it plugs directly into an electrical socket. 

The instructions were pretty easy to follow.  When reading the reviews, a reviewer said they weren't clear, but that wasn't the case at all.  The review was years old.  They must have fixed the problem since then.  You can read the Amazon reviews for yourself here.

• It works exactly as described. It's affordable.
• If you have dead zones in your home and don't feel like becoming a mad scientist to fix it, this does the trick.
• Set up is quick and easy.  We recommend using your mobile phone to create the extended network.  You'll understand when you see the instructions.
• We now have a full signal throughout the house.
  
• In the above photo, the "Mike" network is sometimes as low as one bar of strength.  We now connect the Roku TV and other devices used in the rear of the house on the Mike_EXT network, which is full strength
